Painting based on his childhood memory of the Hershell-Spillman carousel belonging to a traveling carnival that would visit his neighborhood every year. He worked on the original oil painting for over 7 years. This print is very rich in color and design. The vibrant pinks and reds almost seems to glow. The print measures 14.5 x 11.5 inches and the actual image is 12.25 x 9.5 inches. The border edge of the print is a light cream color and the image is offset by a 3 brick red edge-lines which give the print the effect of all ready being matted. The geometric designs at the top of the print are similar to some of Jim's geometric abstract paintings. Copyright James Homer Brown.
